The Vietnam Business Forum Consortium in coordination with the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the World Bank Group, and the International Financial Corporation (IFC) have successfully organized the Midterm VBF 2019 on 26 June in Hanoi. Under the theme “Roles of business community in rapid and sustainable development”, comments and recommendations of the business community continues to focus on promoting institutional and legal reforms and accelerating business environment improvement. Presenting at the Forum, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dzung said the development in a rapid and sustainable way is the consistent policy in the Vietnam’s economic development strategy. The Deputy PM also emphasized 7 solutions that the Vietnamese Government has been implementing to facilitate business environment, including economic restructuring; developing the renewable energies; providing more incentives for comprehensive infrastructure development; boosting the human resource development; completing institution for a transparent and competitive environment; developing the enterprises – centered innovation ecosystem; and diversifying the external relations for an intensive and extensive integration. The Forum draws attention of more than 600 participants who are representatives from the government, diplomatic missions, international organisations, local/ foreign business associations, and the press.
