On Wednesday, Sep 30th, VBF Tax and Customs Working Group (“WG”) had a technical meeting with the General Department of Vietnam Customs (“GDC”).
The meeting focused on current challenges with regards to tax and customs that businesses are facing and provided feasible solutions. Some of the items discussed between the two parties include, mainly but not limited to, Tax policies on goods sold to export-processing enterprises (“EPE”) regulated under Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC supplemented by Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC); Customs valuation for borrowed goods under Circular 39/2015/TT-BTC and other legal documents/regulations.; etc.
